Matthew is pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in substance use disorders from John Carroll University. He has experience working with marginalized populations within an inpatient behavioral health hospital setting and is passionate about his committed work to the under served. Matthew has an integrative theoretical approach to counseling, drawing from existential, person-centered, feminist, and cognitive behavioral theories to help evoke positive changes. Matthew is looking forward to working with clients on a number of issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and relationships through EMDR and other interventions. He is under the supervision of Ashley Klingelsmith, IMFT-S, LPCC-S, F.1500026-SUPV, E.0700438-SUPV.
