Carolyn Erbaugh is a graduate of the University of Akron with a Masters in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and over 20 years of experience in wellness related services. She is informed by a holistic psychotherapy and mind-body approach to mental health and is passionate about customized mental health solutions that include integrative, alternative and functional approaches to overall health and well being.

Carolyn’s style is directive, down to earth, and engaged including a review of practical and effective coping tools as well as setting realistic, attainable goals for therapy. Her work emphasizes the blended use of DBT, CBT, ACT, Internal Family Systems and Polyvagal/Somatic Experiencing. Her strengths and specialities are working with those who struggle with: anxiety/social anxiety, depression, grief, boundary setting, co-dependency, people pleasing, over-giving, assertiveness, relationship functioning, communication issues, conflict management, stress management, exploration of values, stage of life changes and challenges, fertility/postpartum, womens identity related challenges and the way these issues overlap.

 

Carolyn’s goal is to help her clients improve their ability to cope short and long term, to improve their relationship with themselves and others, and to become more empowered, confident, unstuck, and resilient in their lives.
