Clinical Trainee
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Alayna Smith is a Clinical Trainee licensed therapist, EMDR-trained clinician, and visual artist with a background in photography. Inspired by photography’s ability to reflect who we are and where we come from, Alayna views therapy as a process of exploration, self-discovery, and healing. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and families receiving intensive therapy services and supports clients navigating anxiety, trauma symptoms, identity development, and life transitions.

Alayna incorporates artmaking, movement, play, and body-based interventions to create alternative pathways for expression, connection, and growth. She strives to be a “helping hand” alongside clients as they navigate life’s uncertainties, uncover insight, resilience, and find new ways to express, understand, and connect with themselves and others. Alayna is committed to providing a warm, inclusive, and affirming space for all clients, particularly members of the neurodiverse spectrum and LGBTQ+ communities.

Seeing life through layered lenses, Alayna invites clients to come as they are, offering a creative, trauma-informed approach that honors each person’s unique story, strengths, and pace. Approaching needs with curiosity, flexibility, and intention, Alayna believes therapy is not about having a map, but about discovering a valued path and learning to trust yourself as you walk it. Alayna is under the supervision of Katharine Fertig MSW, LISW-S, LICDC, EMDRIA approved consultant, I.2002388-SUPV., LICDC,162392.
